Recently, I was invited to have some of my music performed at the first Queer Jazz Festival this Sept 18-21 in Philadelphia — http://outbeatjazzfest.com ; naturally, I recommended Mike McGinnis to form the quartet—which is to consist of the players on my last few CDs. His quartet, Mike McGinnnis' Splang-a-lang Trio+1, will have a 45 min set at Union Transfer on the afternoon of 9/21. I am sure they will swing like no tomorrow!
