A musician -- www.mikemcginnis.com -- who I have been lucky enough to be utilizing for over 10 years now released a new album back in October that was voted one of the top ten jazz albums of 2013 by the Village Voice! The album is a recording of his 10 piece band entitled "Road Trip", and harkens back to the Octet days of Dave Brubeck. (Like me, Mike is very influenced by the great alto sax player known for his work with Brubeck, Paul Desmond.) Along with Downbeat, The New York Times, et. al., I highly recommend this recording!
