My friend, John Raymond Pollard ( www.johnpollard.com ), who penned the lyrics to My Wintertime Sky, approached me with lyrics for four more of my recorded tunes. I have been having a lot of fun--in this awful NY summer, no less--revisiting these tunes. Arranging, new intros, and of course, editing. We have a date set for this recording in early November! And I was able to get all the same players (piano, bass, drums & reeds) and the wonderful Laura Kenyon ( www.laurakenyon.tv ) to sing! We will also record My Wintertime Sky again, but at an easy-swing tempo this time 'round...
